Msn premium Email not working

Can’t send and receive Email in MSN

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Search in the upper right-hand corner
  3. In the Search box, type the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSN
  4. Press the ENTER key, The MSN folder will show.
  5. In the MSN folder, do the below options (if you are unable to find the db30 folder)


  • Click ‘Organize’, then ‘Folder and Search options’, on the screen click ‘View’ tab
  • Put a dot on ‘Show hidden files and folders’
  • Uncheck the ‘Hide extensions for knowing file types’ and ‘Hide protected operating system files options’
  • Click ‘Apply’, then ‘OK’


  1. The db30 folder will appear inside the MSN folder.
  2. Open the db30 folder then look for files that end as MSN-com.sdf and MSN-com_JMF.sdf
  3. Right-click, choose ‘Rename’ and add .old after .sdf to both these files( example, Msn-com.sdf.old)
  4. Close the db30 folder.
  5. Then Sign into Msn and wait for 30- 40 minutes for the emails to get synchronized.
